Christian Hut – Goa

The Christian’s hut is characterized by a large, stone cross that stands on a pillar in front of the hut. The lifestyle of these rural Christians as well as the nature of their household hems is not so different to that of their Hindu neighbors. The well-built hut is divided into live chambers, namely a sitting room, two bedrooms, an inner and an outer kitchen. Due to the severity of rainstorms that can affect Goa during the monsoon, the common practice is to tie a protective layer of palm leaf mats lo the exterior walls.
