Sculpture Park On The Shikhar

The sunset point has the masterpieces of international sculptors strewn around. The Devaras – worship places of village community are spread throughout Shilpgram, Shilpgram Dhaba serves traditional food to visitors while children enjoy camel, horse ride and play on swings and merry-go-round.

Throughout the year, Shilpdarshan programme attracts folk artists and craftsmen who come to live in Shilpgram from different parts of the member states. They reside in Kalanivas and demonstrate their art and craft interacting directly with the visitors. The craftsmen occupy Thada – stalls laid out in the village ” Haat ” pattern to exhibit and sell their masterpieces, while the artists present their performances at different venues like village Chaupal, Angan etc. every day.

” Shilpgram ” brings together different communities and their lifestyles integrating them with their occupation and way of life. It provides a complete picture of the vast mosaic of the diversity of their art and culture in its most original form. It also provides a platform for the interaction of rural & urban artists and craftsmen among themselves and with the people around. To discerning visitors, Shilpgram presents a Mini Rural India – a myriad portrait of Unity in Diversity.
